Current mood: sleepy and excited

First came Bri.

I thought "he" was Deunan at first, since her box was sent first. Opening the box quickly clarified the occupant's identity, and big, matte and utterly handsome Bri, the cyborg hecantonchires unit, joined Dia's household of Transformers and Ghost in the Shell characters.

I never thought I would collect "toys", but here I am. Bri from Hot toys is really remarkable. I am going to take pics (when?) and put them up, here, @ Amazon and everywhere.

Deunan didn't come right away. I got a bit worried with her, being on the Fedex truck back and forth, poor thing. Her box came somewhat bumped and bruised, but her gorgeous self was unharmed. She, and he, come with all their plastic, "deadly" accessories. Her sword, his guns...*gasp-thud-spasm* SHUDDUP, I do like them both, yes, exactly as you are thinking.

Will I order Tereus too? My concern, is space. Right now we are crammed as we are, and if I get another huge "doll" where am I going to put it. Hmm...Deunan does deserve her two men, and so do I. Will see.

I also got lots of other goodies. Yes, I solemny pledge that I have helped the economy this year. I got Hellboy II, PoisonBlack and Sirenia's CDs, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles season 1, Galactica TNS season 3, and Galactica: Razor.

We had very bad weather this past week. Part of Deunan's oddysey was due to inclement weather. During Wednesday's early morning hours lots of snow piled in and around Philly, making it impossible for the truck to deliver.

I had my share of skiding adventures on top of a generous patch of black ice to last me for a year. Right outside work, too. There is a black bruise on my knee that hurts when I kneel or walk fast. Nothing more serious though.

Weekend was perfect. We managed to wake up while there was still light and life out side. I did odd ends and errands on Saturday, and then we went for brunch at Le Parc. Very nice omellette and if I may say, Absinthe, that I finally tasted, is green Ouzo. Or Tsipouro. Really, nobody else knows that? Which is kind of good for us, because if we can't find good ouzo we can probably sub with Absinthe.

I cracked up when they brought me the drink, which was kind of stiff for brunch, along with ice and water. I immediately smelled the fragrance and I knew it's going to turn while with ice. The same chemistry that works with Ouzo. But it is, ouzo, or ouzo is absinthe. Very funny situation. So, I ended up very cheerful with two fingers and then we went home. I had a shower and went for a nap, but it lasted a bit longer than I was planning. All good though, I woke up and watched half a season's worth of Dexter epis on Demand.

Yesterday, Sunday, first day of February, we went shopping at Franklin Mills for shoes and underwear. At least these days hubby buys along with me, he is not suffering. He even helps me pick things. He is well trained! I love him. I got some new Nine West summer sandals that are very comfortable and somewhat edgy. They have a metal plate on top. Hehee.. I like metal!

Then we did grocerry shopping and back home to cook and put grocerries away. Hubby made pizza and fried eggs with fries. He prepped me spring mix salad and tomato and cucumber for him. For dessert we had strawberries.

Then we sat to eat and started on the last half of Dexter's season 3. Very good, they haven't jumped the shark this season either. Good writing and contrasting storylines. And I just love his potty-mouthed, but utterly kick ass sister, Debra.

Enough, I should go to bed. Monday is now and I am working in less than 7 hours. Or so I am supposed to. What am I doing on Monday? It's all a blur, things are not what they are meant to be, patience, yes, that's all is left. Summer is going to come, and hopefully I will be fine to enjoy some change.

God willing.
